Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Doodles, including the mobile app, website, backend services, subscriptions, and related features.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Doodles, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Doodles.

Doodles is operated by Sarthak Gupta. References to "Doodles," "we," "our," or "us" mean the app, website, backend services, and related features we provide.

2. Service Description

Doodles provides personal communication, sharing, connection, reminder, widget, device-integration, subscription, and interactive features. The exact features may change over time.

Features may vary by platform, country, app version, device permissions, plan, backend availability, and provider availability. We may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove features at any time.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Doodles. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your account and device secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.

You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for abuse or fraud, bypass authentication, share access in a way that compromises security, or use another user's account without permission.

4. Connections, Invites, and Shared Content

Doodles is designed around sharing with people you choose to connect with. When you connect with someone, they may see profile information, content, media, activity, responses, status, timestamps, and other information related to shared features.

Invite codes, PINs, links, and shared messages should be sent only to people you trust. You are responsible for invite messages and content you send through Doodles, your device, or other apps.

We are not responsible for what other users do with content you choose to share with them, including screenshots, forwarding, copying, disclosure, or misuse outside Doodles.

5. User Content and License

You retain ownership of content you create or submit. You grant Doodles a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, modify for technical formatting, cache, back up, and otherwise use your content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve Doodles.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate law, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or these Terms.

We may remove, restrict, or refuse content, accounts, or connections if we believe they violate these Terms, create risk, abuse the service, or could harm users, Doodles, providers, or third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Doodles to harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, spam, exploit, deceive, or harm others; send unlawful, explicit, hateful, violent, infringing, or invasive content; upload malware or harmful code; scrape, reverse engineer, attack, overload, or interfere with the app or backend; bypass rate limits, paywalls, subscriptions, authentication, access controls, or security measures; or use automated systems without permission.

You agree not to use Doodles for emergencies, safety-critical communications, medical or mental-health advice, professional counseling, legal notices, financial decisions, or any purpose where delayed, missing, incorrect, or unavailable messages could cause harm.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials

Some features require a paid subscription or entitlement. Prices, plan names, limits, trials, renewal periods, and included features may change and may differ by platform, region, offer, or app version.

Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or other applicable app-store providers. Subscriptions generally renew automatically unless cancelled through the platform before renewal. We do not control app-store refund decisions.

We may use third-party subscription or entitlement providers to validate purchases. If entitlement checks fail, are delayed, or are unavailable, access to paid features may be delayed, limited, or temporarily incorrect until status is refreshed.

8. Usage Limits and Enforcement

Doodles may enforce rate limits, quotas, cooldowns, access limits, storage limits, feature limits, and other controls to protect reliability, control costs, and prevent abuse.

We may suspend, limit, terminate, reset, or delete accounts or data if we believe there is abuse, fraud, non-payment, subscription expiration, prolonged inactivity, security risk, legal risk, provider requirement, or violation of these Terms.

9. Data, Privacy, and Retention

Your use of Doodles is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Doodles, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, storage, analytics, notifications, local device storage, provider processing, and retention practices described there.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of content that matters to you. Doodles is not a backup service. Content and account data may be deleted, expire, fail to sync, be unavailable, or be removed according to retention rules, technical limits, account status, provider behavior, or these Terms.

10. Notifications, Widgets, and Device Features

Notifications, widgets, lock-screen delivery, wallpaper features, haptics, sharing, reminders, and other device-dependent features rely on permissions, operating-system behavior, network access, and third-party providers. We do not guarantee that any content, message, reminder, notification, update, or interaction will arrive, appear, persist, or be delivered on time.

You are responsible for managing device permissions and settings. Disabling permissions may disable or degrade related features.

11. Third-Party Services

Doodles relies on third-party services for infrastructure, authentication, analytics, messaging, notifications, subscriptions, billing, media handling, device functionality, and other operations. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, data handling, billing decisions, SDK behavior, or service limitations.

Your use of third-party app stores, payment providers, notification providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, and cloud services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Relationship and Wellbeing Disclaimer

Doodles is for personal communication and lightweight shared activities. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, mental-health advice, legal advice, financial advice, emergency communication, or a substitute for professional support.

We are not responsible for relationship, friendship, family, emotional, personal, or safety decisions you make based on Doodles, content from other users, notifications, reminders, app activity, or any feature of the service.

13. Intellectual Property

Doodles, including its app, website, design, logos, branding, software, features, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Doodles except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

14. Disclaimers

Doodles is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, reliability, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that Doodles will be error-free, secure, available, compatible with your device, free of harmful components, or that data will always be accurate, preserved, delivered, synced, or recoverable.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doodles and its owner, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, content, subscriptions, relationships, or opportunities; service interruptions; unauthorized access; user conduct; third-party services; failed notifications; missed reminders; billing-provider decisions; or inability to use Doodles.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Doodles will not exceed the amount you paid to use Doodles in the 1 month before the event giving rise to the claim.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Doodles and its owner, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Doodles, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, your misuse of invite codes or shared content, or your interactions with other users.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use of Doodles after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be handled in the courts of India.
