Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Doodles collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our app, website, and related services.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, create, upload, send, receive, or choose to share through Doodles. This may include account information, profile information, content, media, messages, shared-feature data, connection information, invite information, support communications, and any other information you submit or generate while using the service.
We also collect technical, usage, device, subscription, payment-status, analytics, security, diagnostic, and operational information needed to provide, protect, measure, troubleshoot, and improve Doodles.
Local Device Data
Some information may be stored locally on your device so the app can work reliably, load faster, remember preferences, support widgets or device features, reduce duplicate actions, and provide offline or cached experiences.
Local data may remain on your device until removed by the app, cleared by the operating system, or deleted when you uninstall or reset the app.
Photos, Media, and Permissions
If you use features involving photos, media, notifications, widgets, wallpaper, lock-screen delivery, haptics, sharing, or similar device capabilities, the app may request the permissions and device access needed for those features. Media you choose to upload may be stored or processed by us or our service providers.
You can control many permissions through your device settings, but disabling permissions may prevent some features from working.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate Doodles, provide app features, authenticate users, connect users, deliver content and notifications, sync shared experiences, process subscriptions, provide support, enforce limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, comply with obligations, and improve the service.
We may use analytics, event, diagnostic, and aggregated information to understand usage, measure performance, improve product decisions, and maintain reliability. We do not sell your personal information.
Information Shared With Other Users
When you connect, invite, message, play, or share with another user, information needed for those shared features may be visible to that user. This can include profile details, content, media, activity, status, timestamps, responses, reminders, game or interaction data, and other information related to the shared experience.
If you share an invite link, code, PIN, message, image, or other content through your device or another app, that information may be visible to anyone you send it to. You are responsible for choosing who receives it.
Service Providers
We use third-party service providers for functions such as authentication, hosting, databases, cloud infrastructure, analytics, messaging, notifications, subscriptions, payments, media storage or processing, customer support, security, and operations.
These providers process information on our behalf or as independent service providers under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to enforce our rights, or to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
Payments and Subscriptions
Payments are generally processed by app stores or payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive and store subscription, entitlement, billing-status, purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund, and related operational information so we can provide paid features and support billing issues.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Doodles, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce limits, support subscriptions, operate backups or logs, and for other legitimate business purposes. Some data may expire or be cleaned up automatically depending on feature behavior, account status, app version, backend jobs, or provider systems.
Deletion timing can vary based on app version, backend jobs, provider retention, backups, abuse-prevention needs, and legal or operational requirements. If you delete your account or ask us to delete data, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal data we control, except where retention is needed for security, billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or service integrity.
Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, data loss, outages, or misuse will never occur.
Your Choices and Rights
You can update certain profile information in the app, manage notification and photo permissions through your device, manage subscriptions through Apple or Google, and remove connections where supported. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and may decline or limit requests where allowed by law or where data must be retained for legitimate operational, security, billing, or legal reasons.
Children's Privacy
Doodles is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International Processing
Doodles and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from your local laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use of Doodles after an update means you accept the updated policy.
